Myofascial massage / release
Myofascial massage, also known as myofascial release, is a hands-on therapy technique in which the practitioner applies gentle, sustained pressure to release tension in the fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs. In companion animals it is used to relieve pain, restore range of motion, and support recovery following injury or surgery. Dogs and cats with musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, or age-related stiffness are among those most likely to benefit. The therapist manually identifies areas of heightened tissue tension and works to release them gradually. Sessions are typically painless, well tolerated by most animals, and are often recommended alongside physiotherapy, acupuncture, or conventional veterinary treatment.
